Research Interests
Hi - you've reached my home page. I have had a lifelong fascination with science and been lucky enough to
spend much of my time doing research. I started out with a degree in Chemistry and a Ph.D. for work on molecular re-orientation by light scattering from
the University of Manchester. Since then I have worked in York, back in Manchester, Sheffield, Leeds, before finally settling in Sheffield in 2001.
When the last contract came to an end, the uncertain prospects in a climate of austerity made early retirement the best option,
but I have not lost my enthusiasm for science and follow developments with interest.
